MP Praveen Khandelwal Thanks Minister Nitin Gadkari for Approval of ₹2,500 Crore Road Project Benefiting Chandni Chowk Constituency

In a landmark decision for Delhi’s infrastructure, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Mr. Nitin Gadkari, has approved the request of Member of Parliament Mr. Praveen Khandelwal to modernize and construct new roads enhancing connectivity from Azad Market to UER-2.

This project will significantly improve transportation networks in Chandni Chowk and surrounding areas, easing congestion and facilitating smoother trade and travel. By linking Azad Market, Shastri Nagar, Outer Ring Road, and Rohini to the Delhi-Katra Expressway via the KMP Expressway, the development will provide better access for businesses, daily commuters, and the logistics sector.

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has initiated Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for this 20-km road link, with an estimated budget of ₹2,500 crore. Following the finalization of DPRs within the next 6-7 months, construction will begin promptly.

Expressing his gratitude, MP Praveen Khandelwal stated, “This road project is a crucial step in strengthening infrastructure in the Chandni Chowk constituency, benefiting traders, residents, and businesses alike. I sincerely thank Mr. Nitin Gadkari for his unwavering support and commitment to the development of Delhi.”
